CRWB Shirt Tales!!

 CRWB  SHIRT  TALES  2015

Hello CRWB!
I was just finishing putting away some of our Christmas decorations when I turned and realized it is already February! I know I say this each year but how did we already blow past Christmas, New Years, all the Presidents Days and Valentine’s Day? Just in case we take another leap I want to wish you all a “Hopppy” Easter, memorable Memorial Day, great Graduation, Happy Anniversary and Birthday. I hope this covers most everything thru at least June. Not wanting to slight anyone I have it covered with this:

Happy (you fill in the blank) to you! Feel free to celebrate what you want with our sincerest best wishes for your “whatever”.
We have had a lot of ups and downs this past year. We hear of illnesses (feel better Marv) beautiful new babies (Andrea & Tasha) and we all miss Yvonne, Roberta, Laurie and our Matriarch Billie Corkill. We have asked Steve Watson to include Aunt Billie within our shirts this year. We look forward to seeing what artistic mastery he creates for us once again.

So let's dust off the camping gear, kick the tires, place your shirt and rodeo ticket orders and get your eligible  kids signed up for the mutton busting!

Don't be like me and turn around and its May already!

We are grateful to Frank and Christa for allowing the CRWB to camp at Poeville. We thank you for all your hard prep work to make it happen. For 2015 the lake is once again open to us. Don’t forget to make your camping reservations on-line with the county. Although most of us camp rural we appreciate some of you booking actual sites so we can secure the area. We will keep you informed when the Colusa County site becomes available.

I must mention that 2014 Rodeo weekend was an amazing surprise. With the lake closed, Squaw Creek not available for food, store or bar, sketchy weather and limited space you made it such a great event. Camping close made for more visiting and comradery. Loved loved loved having a genuine pig roast, all our crazy games and shoes, the Corkill family reunion, night time glow stick Frisbee, the parade and costumes, our mutton busters and of course all of you. The show of support for your CRWB was heartwarming in a year of uncertainty. The following were some of the highlights of 2014.

We had lots of help and that’s what it takes:

Jay and Harriet, our shirt orders & Cinco de Mayo cooks
Steve, shirt design
Lance, again for your creative games and shoe coordinator
Jud, fake out voice of the tourney
Christine & Amanda, organizing kid’s games
Rosalyn, awards certificates
Tony, bringing & cooking pig for entire CRWB
Mark & Liz, outstanding 50/50 sales
Gary & Arlene, recycle
Roy, wood to keep the home fire burning
Christa, Web & Facebook page
Jimmy & Christine, CRWB costume accessories & parade banner
Barb, DI, music & routine expert, annual meeting co-partner/organizer
Jack, Truck Stereo, candy, drink and kid carrier for parade
Helga, rodeo tickets & buckle pricing coordinator

Plus many more but one last for sure…

Maddy, for sharing her safe place with all of us.
