The Light Festival had an event last October utilizing all of the Lodoga side of the lake. It was scheduled to return the weekend prior to Rodeo weekend. The Light Festival has also placed a hold as back up for the event, our weekend. For those of you that secure designated spots for our group had a big surprise when making reservations. All sites on the Lodoga Side are currently blocked from rental. The Light Festival is working on getting an issue cleared up. We are not privy to what it is. So until it is settled, we will not know if we can camp on Lodoga side Rodeo weekend.
The Light Festival has April 27 on their website page but has suspended their ticket sales. The county will have an answer by March and promise to notify us first. We discussed our options and agreed on how we will handle camping.
If the Festival is the same weekend as rodeo, we will camp at Poeville which Christa and Frank have offered. We will plan to have portable Potties paid for with existing funds through our 50/50. We do have room, we will just be cozy. The only request is no open fire pits. There is
a huge fire pit that all are welcome to. Propane portable fire pits are ok.
The Stonyford side is open. The problem is there are no large spaces on that side and everyone from both Stonyford and Lodoga sides wil be trying to fit in.
So we voted to ride it out till March. Either way we have a place of our own. As soon as we hear anything we will quickly inform you all.
